TR Overijssel Middel
In April 1945, the Salland and Vechtdal regions of Overijssel were liberated. After Holten (8 April), the towns of Nijverdal, Hellendoorn, Lemele and Ommen followed. In this area were the labour camps Kamp Erika and Kamp Twilhaar, which were also liberated by the Allies. Shortly after the Second World War, the Canadian cemetery in Holten was opened, where many fallen liberators found their final resting place.
The route leads through the wooded landscape of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park.
